Thirteen Years in the Making
February 12, 2026 — Today, we’re sharing a major milestone in Fastcomcorp’s journey: the unveiling of Fastcomcorp SQL and Fastcomcorp NoSQL, two database platforms that have been in development for the past thirteen years. Over more than a decade, our team has focused on learning, experimenting, and steadily building technology we hope can make a meaningful difference in how organizations handle data safely, reliably, and for the long term.
Why We Built These Systems
As we worked with existing databases over the years, we saw a pattern of trade-offs. Some systems prioritized speed but compromised security. Others offered structure but lacked flexibility. We asked ourselves: What would a database look like if reliability, security, and trust were the foundation and not an afterthought? Fastcomcorp SQL and Fastcomcorp NoSQL are our answer. Two complementary systems designed for different needs but sharing a common goal: to provide resilient, dependable infrastructure for organizations that need it most.
Why a Custom DBMS for Secure Environments?
For organizations operating in high-security or mission-critical contexts, many off-the-shelf databases often fall short. The challenges include:
Strict security and compliance requirements
Many existing systems weren’t designed to enforce multi-level access controls, mandatory permissions, or tamper-evident audit trails natively. They retrofit these features, creating complexity and potential vulnerabilities.
Predictable, deterministic behavior
In secure or regulated environments, you need to reproduce results and audit every data access—something standard databases don’t always guarantee.
High availability under sensitive conditions
Distributed operations in defense, telecommunications, or critical infrastructure require systems that remain resilient even during partial failures or network disruptions.
Integration with advanced operational models
Legacy systems often require extensive configuration, add-on modules, or third-party tools to achieve these capabilities in ways that meet stringent security requirements. Fastcomcorp SQL was built to address these needs, giving organizations a database they can trust from the ground up. It combines security, reliability, and accountability in a way that aligns with mission-critical requirements. Fastcomcorp NoSQL complements this by providing flexible, distributed data handling for scenarios where networks are unreliable, applications are geographically dispersed, and real-time synchronization is critical. Together, these systems support a wide range of operational needs without compromising security or reliability.
Fastcomcorp SQL — Structured and Reliable
Powered by the Reinaldo Engine
Fastcomcorp SQL evolved from ReinaldoSQL, a hardened relational system designed for environments where precision and trust matter deeply. It’s designed for environments where structured data and predictability are essential, to help teams manage relational data with confidence and providing a foundation they can trust for mission-critical operations. Our approach was focusing on reliability and integrity first, rather than impressing with complexity.
This platform is especially suited for:
- Core enterprise applications
- Regulated industries
- Systems where auditability and trust are paramount
Fastcomcorp NoSQL — Flexible and Adaptable
Powered by the Felipe Engine
Fastcomcorp NoSQL evolved from FelipeDB, a distributed document database designed for reliability in real-world conditions. It grew from the need for flexibility and distributed coordination, designed for applications running across distributed networks, edge systems, or mobile-first environments where connections aren’t always stable. Fastcomcorp NoSQL provides schema-flexible document storage and dependable synchronization, enabling organizations to build agile systems that withstand dynamic network conditions and evolving workloads. Together, Fastcomcorp SQL and Fastcomcorp NoSQL provide a versatile suite to meet different data needs from structured enterprise workloads to flexible, distributed applications.
The Role of Hyperdex
Within Fastcomcorp NoSQL, the Hyperdex technology serves as an advanced extension layer. It enhances the platform with next-generation indexing and associative data capabilities designed to support complex retrieval and intelligent workloads. The Felipe Engine forms the distributed foundation. Hyperdex expands what becomes possible on top of it.
One Unified Vision
After thirteen years of careful development, both systems now sit under the Fastcomcorp brand, reflecting our commitment to creating a cohesive and reliable data ecosystem. This isn’t just about technology. It’s about our commitment to building something thoughtful, dependable, and useful even if it takes time.
Looking Forward
Fastcomcorp SQL and Fastcomcorp NoSQL remain under active development. As we prepare for broader previews and early adoption, our focus remains on helping organizations implement these systems in ways that reduce risk and strengthen infrastructure. Because of the public launch of these databases, the release of PlexiusDNS has been pushed back and is now expected in Q3–Q4 2026. This adjustment allows us to focus on supporting these foundational systems properly and ensuring a smooth rollout for everyone.
